Zero Turn Mower OperatorJob Overview We are seeking a reliable and experienced Zero Turn Mower Operator to join our growing lawn and landscape company. While this position includes a variety of lawn care, landscaping, and seasonal responsibilities, the primary skill we are looking for is someone who is experienced and confident operating a commercial zero-turn mower. Responsibilities Your primary responsibility will be operating commercial zero-turn mowers, but this is not exclusively a mowing position. Depending on the season and workload, responsibilities may include: Operate commercial zero-turn mowers safely, efficiently, and with a high level of skill Mow residential and commercial properties while maintaining clean and consistent mowing patterns Safely maneuver mowers around trees, landscaping, buildings, fences, vehicles, slopes, and other obstacles Avoid scalping, rutting, turf damage, and damage to customer property Operate string trimmers, edgers, backpack blowers, and other lawn maintenance equipment Drive company trucks while pulling equipment and landscape trailers Safely load, unload, and secure mowers, equipment, materials, and tools Assist with landscaping projects, including mulch installation, bed maintenance, cleanups, planting, and other general landscape work Assist with leaf removal and seasonal property cleanups Assist with snow plowing and snow removal during the winter season Perform basic equipment checks and report maintenance or mechanical issues Follow assigned routes and complete work efficiently while maintaining our quality standards Perform other lawn care, landscaping, and property maintenance duties as needed Qualifications Previous zero-turn mower experience is strongly preferred and is the primary qualification for this position Ability to confidently operate a commercial zero-turn mower around obstacles and on varying terrain Experience with commercial lawn care or landscaping equipment Experience operating string trimmers and backpack blowers Experience driving a truck and pulling a trailer is strongly preferred Landscaping, mulching, cleanup, or snow removal experience is a plus Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus Valid driver's license and good driving record are preferred Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work throughout the workday Dependable, punctual, and able to follow directions Strong attention to detail and respect for customers' property Willingness to perform different types of outdoor work as the company's needs change throughout the season Opportunity to Grow If you're currently operating a zero-turn mower for another company and aren't satisfied with your current position, we encourage you to apply.
