This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and participate in snow removal, landscape maintenance, and groundskeeping that keep outdoor spaces safe, beautiful, and functional during the colder months, transitioning into summer work. As a vital member of our team, you will combine hands-on work with leadership responsibilities, ensuring efficient operations while maintaining high safety standards. This position is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts with a strong focus on landscaping, snow plowing, and grounds maintenance who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working outdoors year-round. During the winter months, this position will focus heavily on snow and ice management, including operating a plow truck equipped with a salt/sander, shoveling, snow blowing, and helping our team keep properties safe and accessible during winter storms. When winter is over, this position will transition into our summer landscape maintenance/mowing crew, with the opportunity to grow into a Team Lead position. We are looking for someone who wants more than just a seasonal job. ResponsibilitiesWinter Snow Operations Safely operate a truck equipped with a snow plow and salt/sander Plow parking lots, driveways, and other assigned properties Operate snow blowers and other snow-removal equipment Shovel sidewalks, walkways, entrances, and other areas as needed Apply salt/sanding materials appropriately Assist with snow removal before, during, and after storms Work extended hours during snow events, including overnight, early mornings, and weekends only if necessary. Perform basic equipment checks and report maintenance or mechanical issues Maintain a clean, professional, and safe work environment Communicate with supervisors and other crew members throughout snow events Summer Landscape Operations Operate commercial lawn mowers and landscape equipment Perform mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, and general property maintenance Assist with landscaping and seasonal property cleanup Maintain equipment and keep trucks and work areas organized Work as part of a professional landscape maintenance crew Take on increasing responsibility as skills and experience develop Team Lead Opportunity As a Team Lead, responsibilities may include: Leading and directing a small landscape maintenance crew Ensuring properties are completed to company standards Operating and maintaining equipment Training and helping develop other crew members Communicating with management regarding job progress and issues Maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards Helping ensure crews arrive prepared and on time Taking ownership of assigned properties and daily work What We're Looking For At least 18 years of Age Previous experience operating a plow truck with a salt/sander preferred Experience with snow shoveling and snow blowing Valid driver's license and a clean driving record Comfortable working outdoors in cold, wet, and changing weather conditions Ability to work long and irregular hours during snow events Reliable transportation to and from work Strong work ethic and positive attitude Able to work independently as well as part of a team Comfortable operating commercial lawn and landscape equipment Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibility Leadership experience is a plus!
