Job Description
Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is hiring Light Stringers for our Gardens Aglow light show! Are you someone who is creative, likes working outside, is excited about inspiring meaningful connections among people and nature in one of the most beautiful settings in Maine, and committed to supporting the Gardens' Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility goals? The Light Stringers are responsible for all aspects of installing lights for Gardens Aglow. The Boom Lift Light Stringers are responsible for the operation of a boom lift to install lights for the Gardens Aglow light show. These are seasonal positions (September 1 - January 2), with Full-time hours (up to 40 hours per week) available. Gardens Aglow Boom Lift Light Stringer Starting pay $20.00 hourly, non-exempt Gardens Aglow Light Stringer Starting pay $18.75 hourly, non-exempt Seasonal employees receive personal and sick paid time off, paid holidays, discounts in our culinary and Gardenshop programs, and a Gardens membership. Light stringing occurs September through mid-November, primarily weekdays, full-time hours; occasional weekend days required. Additional Gardens Aglow duties occur Thursday through Sunday evenings, plus daily mid-November through January 2.
