Job Description
Lawn Mowing Crew Leader Stephen Carr Property Services is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Lawn Mowing Crew Leader to join our team! This is a full-time, year-round position for an experienced lawn care professional who is ready to take the lead, enjoys working outside, and takes pride in leaving every property looking its best. As a Crew Leader, you'll lead a team of 2-3 people while managing your assigned mowing route and making sure each property is completed safely, efficiently, and to our high standards. Our crews maintain established residential and commercial landscapes throughout the seacoast area, providing routine lawn maintenance, seasonal clean-ups, and other property services. During the winter months, our year-round team transitions into snow operations, providing the opportunity for steady employment throughout the entire year. We're looking for someone who can lead by example, keep a crew organized and on schedule, and communicate well with both team members and management. Responsibilities Lead and work alongside a crew of 2-3 team members Manage an assigned weekly mowing route and keep jobs on schedule Safely operate a company truck and trailer Operate commercial mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other small-engine equipment Ensure lawns and properties are maintained to company standards Identify and report lawn, landscape, and irrigation issues to management Monitor equipment and communicate maintenance needs Help train and guide crew members Maintain a clean and organized truck, trailer, and equipment Complete seasonal clean-ups and other landscape maintenance tasks Participate in snow plowing and winter operations during the off-season Communicate professionally with customers, crew members, and management Requirements 2-3 years of lawn maintenance experience required Previous crew leadership experience preferred Valid driver's license required Strong knowledge of lawn mowing and landscape maintenance Familiarity with commercial mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other small-engine equipment Ability to identify common lawn and irrigation issues Able to lift 30-50 lbs. Comfortable working outdoors in heat, rain, cold, and changing weather conditions Reliable Positive attitude and ability to work well with others Willingness to work Saturdays as needed during the busy season or when weather affects the weekly schedule Spanish language skills are a plus Compensation & Benefits $25-$30 per hour, based on experience Full-time, year-round employment Health insurance Paid time off Overtime opportunities Referral program Professional development assistance Sign-On Bonus Up to $1,000 Sign-On Bonus for qualified candidates!
