Duties Assist with landscape installation, including planting trees, shrubs, and flowers, ensuring proper placement and health. Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aerating to keep turf healthy and attractive. Maintain landscape features by pruning trees and shrubs, trimming hedges, and performing tree care activities like trimming and removal. Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, and excavators safely and efficiently. Support hardscape projects by preparing sites for patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other structures. Conduct irrigation system maintenance including installation, repairs, and adjustments to ensure optimal watering schedules. Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe. Requirements Basic mechanical knowledge to operate tools and equipment effectively. Experience or interest in lawn care, landscaping, horticulture or gardening practices. Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely; familiarity with landscaping machinery is a plus. Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques including mowing, trimming, pruning, and irrigation systems. Physical stamina to perform outdoor labor in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy materials is required. Prior experience with excavation equipment like excavators or similar construction machinery is advantageous. Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety standards; willingness to learn new skills related to tree care or hardscape projects.
