Responsibilities Operate snow removal equipment such as plows, snow blowers, shovels, and salt spreaders to clear designated outdoor areas effectively. Assess weather conditions regularly to determine the most efficient snow and ice removal strategies. Apply salt or de-icing materials safely to prevent ice buildup and ensure safe walking and driving surfaces. Conduct routine inspections of outdoor spaces to identify hazards related to snow and ice accumulation. Maintain and perform basic troubleshooting on groundskeeping equipment, including power tools and ground maintenance machinery. Follow all safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents during outdoor winter work. Communicate with team members regarding work progress, hazards, or equipment issues promptly. Experience Prior outdoor work experience, particularly in winter conditions or grounds maintenance, is highly preferred. Mechanical knowledge related to operating snow removal equipment and power tools. Familiarity with landscape maintenance, hardscape clearing techniques, and groundskeeping practices. Knowledge of safety procedures specific to outdoor winter operations. Ability to identify hazards related to snow and ice accumulation quickly and accurately. Experience with irrigation systems or horticulture is a plus but not required. Strong physical stamina for prolonged periods of outdoor activity in cold weather conditions.
