The seasonal employees will participate in mowing, leaf collection, and related gardening tasks. In addition, they will help prepare holiday lights, wrap trees, string between trees, set up structures, and event set up for fall and winter events. Responsibilities Participates with general landscape department responsibilities including, but not limited to: mowing, weeding, blowing, fall clean up, pruning, edging, and raking Clear walkways, roads, and grounds of debris to enhance visitor appreciation and safety Operate equipment including mowers, tractors, hand tools and small equipment Set up for fall and winter events including Halloween and Holiday programs Setting up holiday lights both from the ground and from ladders Ability to interact with visitors Other tasks as assigned Skills & Requirements Successful completion of background and credit check High School diploma or equivalent Desire to learn and ability to work well independently and with other team members Ability to lift 55 pounds on a regular basis; work outside for long periods of time in unfavorable conditions; perform strenuous manual labor requiring considerable walking, lifting, reaching, climbing, stooping, pushing, pulling and carrying Ability to operate small power and hand tools Ability to work from an elevated position on ladders A valid driver's license is required Work Schedule & Other Information This is a seasonal position May be asked to work events, weekends and some holidays Basic uniform and PPE will be provided, but some outerwear may not be provided
