Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscaper to join our dynamic outdoor maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and enhancing outdoor spaces through a variety of landscaping and horticultural techniques. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of landscape aesthetics, technical skills with tools and machinery, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential gardens to commercial landscapes, contributing to the beautification and functionality of outdoor environments. Duties Perform landscape installation and maintenance tasks, including planting, pruning, mowing, and fertilizing lawns and gardens. Operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and power tools including trimmers and blowers to execute daily tasks efficiently. Use machinery like excavators and snow plows for site preparation, grading, snow removal, and hardscape installation. Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and installing sprinkler systems to ensure optimal watering. Conduct tree care activities such as trimming, pruning, and health assessments to promote safety and growth. Implement landscape enhancements including hardscape features like patios or walkways using appropriate materials. Perform routine landscape maintenance tasks such as aeration, mulching, and pest control to uphold client standards. Qualifications Proven experience in landscaping or horticulture with knowledge of lawn care, garden maintenance, and landscape design principles. Mechanical knowledge related to operating construction equipment like excavators or snow plows. Familiarity with gardening practices, tree care techniques, irrigation systems, and hardscape installation. Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in various outdoor conditions. Strong understanding of plant health management including pruning, fertilizing, and pest control. Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in different weather conditions. Valid driver's license required; relevant certifications in landscaping or horticulture are a plus.
