Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds Crew member to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and functionality of outdoor spaces. This role requires a combination of mechanical knowledge, landscaping skills, and a passion for horticulture. The Grounds Crew will work collaboratively to ensure that all grounds are well-kept, safe, and visually appealing. Duties Perform regular lawn care activities including mowing, trimming, and fertilizing. Maintain landscape areas through planting, weeding, mulching, and irrigation management. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various landscaping tasks. Utilize heavy equipment such as excavators for larger projects or maintenance tasks. Conduct tree care activities including tree trimming and removal as necessary. Assist in hardscape projects such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls. Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition through regular cleaning and basic repairs. Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to safety protocols. Qualifications Proven experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance is preferred. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various power tools and equipment. Familiarity with horticulture practices, gardening techniques, and landscape maintenance. Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in varying weather conditions. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship. Knowledge of irrigation systems and their maintenance is an advantage. Experience in construction or hardscape installation is beneficial. Must have reliable transportation.
