Job Description
The Greenskeeper I provides daily and seasonal maintenance for the The Loop & Chaska Town Golf Courses, including its structures, grounds, and entrance roads. Provides mowing and trimming of City's golf course property, including proper maintenance of bunkers and other course hazard areas. Identifies course turf conditions and disease and responds accordingly, including the calibration and application of fertilizers and pesticides. Assists in the maintenance and repair of course equipment and irrigation system, including sprinklers and associated parts. Maintains all course structures and buildings (i.e. Clubhouse, practice facility). Interacts with public, including course users and residents whose property borders on course; responds to concerns and questions regarding course maintenance. Assists with supervision of seasonal and part-time crew members. Occasional assistance with the Chaska Town Course. Assists other departments as needed and as municipal employee maintains flexibility for on-call status. Performs snow removal through use of tractors, trucks, snowplows, and snow loaders. Performs all other related duties as requested or assigned. Education and Experience High School Diploma or G.E.D. One or more years of greenskeeper experience desired Other Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Class B MN Driver's License desired Ability to obtain Minnesota Pesticide Applicator's License Prior experience using light equipment and golf course motorized maintenance vehicles Available for seasonal overtime requirements
