Job Description
Garden Maintenance Technician (Experienced): Part-Time, Flexible Schedule Northern Perspectives Landscape is a boutique landscape design and garden maintenance company serving high-end residential clients throughout the western and northern Twin Cities metro. We specialize in detailed perennial gardens, ornamental shrubs, and beautiful outdoor spaces—not lawn mowing or landscape construction. We're looking for an experienced Garden Maintenance Technician who can confidently care for established gardens with minimal supervision. This position is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys horticulture and takes pride in doing meticulous work. Current Schedule Approximately 8-10 hours per week to start (generally 2-3 shorter days) Flexible weekday scheduling Opportunity for additional hours as the season progresses through: New client growth Fall garden cleanups Bulb planting Seasonal projects Potential expansion of an existing maintenance route Strong performers will receive priority consideration for returning next season. Compensation $24-26 per hour, depending on experience. What You'll Do Weed and cultivate ornamental planting beds Deadhead, prune, and divide perennials when appropriate Prune shrubs using proper horticultural techniques Identify common weeds and invasive plants Monitor plants for insects, disease, and other issues Apply mulch and pre-emergent products as directed Maintain detailed notes using Trello (training provided) Independently complete scheduled garden maintenance visits while maintaining excellent client relationships What We're Looking For This is NOT an entry-level gardening position.
