You will work outdoors in all weather conditions, utilizing your knowledge of landscaping, horticulture, and equipment operation to deliver high-quality grounds maintenance. Responsibilities Mow lawns and turf areas using power mowers and other landscaping equipment to maintain a neat appearance. Weed eating around trees, flower beds, walkways, and hardscape features to prevent overgrowth and preserve landscape integrity. Operate hand tools such as trimmers, pruners, shovels, rakes, and blowers for detailed landscaping tasks. Assist with planting, pruning, watering, and general plant identification to support healthy growth and landscape design. Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or malfunctions and making minor repairs as needed. Follow safety protocols rigorously when handling pesticides, herbicides, power tools, or heavy equipment to ensure a safe work environment. Support snow plowing or removal during winter months if applicable, ensuring pathways remain accessible. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge combined with experience operating groundskeeping and landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, power tools, and irrigation systems. Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices including lawn care, pruning, planting, and hardscape upkeep. Ability to identify various plants and understand basic horticulture principles for healthy landscape management. Familiarity with pesticide management and safety procedures related to outdoor chemical applications. Hands-on outdoor work experience with groundskeeping tasks in diverse weather conditions. Construction experience or familiarity with hardscape features like pathways or retaining walls is a plus. Excellent attention to safety protocol adherence when operating machinery or handling hazardous materials.
