Monday - Friday (Some Saturdays) Job Overview Anderson Gardens is looking for a dependable and experienced Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with landscape installation, drainage, irrigation, sod, mulch, and decorative rock. We are seeking someone who takes pride in quality work, works well with others, follows instructions, and can safely complete physically demanding outdoor projects. This position is best suited for an experienced landscaping professional who understands proper installation techniques and can contribute to a productive team. Responsibilities Install, diagnose, repair, and maintain landscape drainage systems Install and repair irrigation systems, including piping, valves, sprinkler heads, and drip lines Prepare soil and grade areas for sod installation Measure, cut, fit, and install sod correctly Install mulch, decorative rock, gravel, edging, and landscape fabric Perform basic grading and assist with water-flow correction Load, unload, move, and organize landscaping materials Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment Follow project plans and instructions from crew leaders or supervisors Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite Communicate clearly with supervisors, coworkers, and customers Work efficiently as part of a crew to complete projects on schedule Identify jobsite problems and report them promptly Perform other landscaping and property-improvement duties as assigned Required Qualifications Previous professional landscaping experience Experience with drainage and irrigation installation or repair Experience installing sod, mulch, and decorative rock Knowledge of basic grading, soil preparation, and water flow Ability to work effectively as part of a team Dependable attendance and punctuality Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and other changing weather conditions Ability to stand, bend, kneel, dig, lift, and perform physical labor throughout the workday Ability to regularly lift and carry up to [50-75] pounds Reliable transportation to [the company shop/jobsite] Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Authorization to work in the United States Preferred Qualifications Three or more years of professional landscaping experience Experience operating trenchers, sod cutters, compactors, skid steers, mini excavators, or similar equipment Knowledge of sprinkler controllers and irrigation troubleshooting Experience reading basic landscape plans Experience leading or assisting a landscaping crew Bilingual English/Spanish skills are helpful but not required What We Offer Competitive pay based on skills and experience Consistent work schedule Opportunities for overtime [if applicable] Training and opportunities for advancement A supportive, team-oriented work environment Company-provided tools and safety equipment [if applicable] Paid time off Ideal Candidate The right candidate is hardworking, reliable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
