Job Description

The Landscape Associate assists with all aspects of landscape installation projects. This is a hands-on position combining manual labor and equipment operation requiring reliability, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. This role supports the crew members in delivering high-quality services in an efficient manner throughout the day, while maintaining professional standards and safe workplace practices. Core Responsibilities
    Landscaping:
    Perform landscaping projects including full landscaping, restoration, installations, tree plantings, grade work, excavation and all tasks relating to landscape projects in an efficient manner. The Landscape Associate will be required to work independently on landscape projects, stay on task, meeting timelines, and consistently communicate with supervisor. Plant trees and shrub to project specs and requirements. Perform jobs to specific grade and elevation requirements. Follow specific process for each phase of project.
      Hardscaping:
      Perform and complete hardscaping installation projects with rock, brick, flagstone and pavers. Most often work is performed with use of equipment, but also excavation may be performed by hand. All projects require use of laser and measurement tools for precise measurement of elevation, grade, and square footage. Work directly with machines as ground person to ensure task efficiency and create sound base for a sturdy outcome. Maintain job site organization and ensure safe and clean job site on departure.
        Irrigation :
        Perform irrigation system maintenance, repair, optimization on drip systems. Follow direction of lead, perform each step correctly as directed, and preparation to allow the repairs to be performed smoothly. Assisting with getting the correct parts, knowledge of where parts are located. Maintain job site organization and ensure safe and clean job site on departure.
          Equipment Operation:
          Use of excavator and skid-steer may be required. Ensuring a second crew member is present when connecting to trailer. Responsible for ensuring proper straps used to secure loads. Conduct pre-trip inspections (blinkers, brakes, light on trucks and trailers ). Maintain fuel levels and proper equipment storage. Report equipment/truck issues promptly.
            Safety:
            Follow all workplace safety standards. Upon signing safety documents, agree to prioritize safety for yourself and team members at all times. Required Qualifications
            • 20 years of age or older
            • High school diploma or equivalent
            • Valid driver's license required
            • Reliable with strong attendance record
            • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
            • Ability to operate landscaping machinery and small engines
            • Excellent attention to detail and strong work ethic
            • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team Preferred Experience Previous landscaping or hardscape experience required.
            Experience operating excavators, skid steers and other landscaping equipment, preferred but not required. Familiarity with irrigation systems is a plus. On-the-job training will be provided and retention of training is expected. Physical Requirements
            • Physically fit and able to perform manual labor daily
            • Ability to lift 50 lbs or assist in a team lift
            • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
            Pay:
            $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
