POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for using a variety of tools and equipment to maintain the grounds of the Twin Lakes campus. Duties include, but are not limited to, planting, cultivating, spraying, pruning, and cutting plants, trees, shrubs, grass, and flower. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Mow, weed-eat, trim and edge the property. Use a blower to remove grass clippings and leave. Prune flowers, flower beds, shrubs and trees. Remove damaged leaves, branches and twigs. Water lawns, shrubs, and flowers 2. Responsible for landscape renovation 3. Spray lawns, plants, shrubs, and trees with fertilizer, herbicides, and pesticides using hand or automatic sprayer to eliminate weeds. 4. Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of campus irrigation system 5. Maintain paths, sidewalks, or road surfaces 6. Perform ground maintenance duties, using a tractor equipped with attachments, such as: lime and/or fertilizer spreaders, lawn roller and/or aerator 7. Operate a tractor or trucks equipped with snow removal equipment to keep roads cleared during inclement weather 8. Prepare for and remove snow from the campus 9. Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and make minor repair to mowers and other equipment 10. Use machinery, tools and equipment related to grounds work. 11. Maintain and paint various street and informational signs on campus 12. Assist with resident trash pick up as required 13. Track annual equipment repair cost and schedules preventative maintenance 14. Reports all unusual conditions, behaviors, and/or resident complaints to the appropriate Management/Supervisory personnel in a timely manner. 15. Responsible for protecting any confidential information concerning residents, family, and/or the organization. 16. Must attend organizational or departmental conferences and/or in-services as scheduled. 17. May be required to perform other duties in keeping with the nature of this position which will not significantly alter the job requirements 18. Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant it using good judgement and ethical conduct. Able to perform job duties and work independently with frequent interruptions. 19. Able to organize, prioritize, and manage time, multiple tasks and projects. 20. Able to meet the physical demands and working environment of the position. 21. Able to follow all policies and procedures. 22. Must be willing to weekends and holidays 22. Perform all other duties assigned Education and/or Experience High School Diploma/GED preferred. One or more years of experience in landscaping preferred.
