Job Description

Overview Groundsperson/Chipper Operator Rowe Tree Co., Inc. is seeking a dependable, hardworking Groundsperson/Chipper Operator to join our team. If you enjoy working outdoors, take pride in working safely, and like being part of a team, we'd love to hear from you. As a Groundsperson/Chipper Operator, you'll play an important role in supporting our tree crews by keeping the worksite clean, operating equipment safely, and helping ensure each job is completed efficiently and safely. Responsibilities Safely operate and maintain a wood chipper. Feed brush, limbs, and debris into the chipper following all safety procedures. Assist climbers, bucket truck operators, and ground crew members as needed. Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards. Perform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns. Assist with traffic control and work zone setup. Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with homeowners, utility representatives, and the public. Qualifications Valid driver's license required. Ability to lift 50 pounds or more on a regular basis. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and a commitment to safety. Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications (Not Required) Experience operating wood chippers, chainsaws, or other tree care equipment. Knowledge of utility right-of-way vegetation management. Basic mechanical or equipment maintenance experience. CPR/First Aid, Chainsaw Safety, or other industry certifications. $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
