A Landscaping or Groundskeeping Worker provides landscaping for residences, parks, public gardens, college campuses or building or office park grounds. Provides care for plants and trees including mowing, trimming and planting, and repairs driveways, walks, benches or other structures.
Maintain the grounds- including lawns, trees, shrubs, parking areas, roads, and athletic facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain lawns, landscapes, and outdoor grounds to ensure a clean and attractive appearance. Mow grass, edge sidewalks, trim shrubs, hedges, and trees. Plant, water, fertilize, and maintain flowers, trees, and other vegetation. Remove weeds, leaves, debris, and litter from grounds and walkways. Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, including mowers, weed eaters, leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, and other hand and power tools. Perform seasonal grounds maintenance, including leaf removal, snow and ice removal (as applicable), and storm cleanup. Inspect grounds for safety hazards and report maintenance or repair needs. Assist with irrigation system maintenance and basic repairs. Apply mulch, fertilizer, and pesticides in accordance with company policies and safety regulations. Clean parking lots, sidewalks, entrances, and common areas. Load, unload, and transport landscaping materials, tools, and equipment.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree and related experience preferred. Ability to operate landscaping tools and light equipment. Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team. Valid North Carolina driver's license required. Basic computer skills required. Bilingual (English/Spanish), irrigation experience, or small engine repair experience preferred.
