  • October, with winter snow removal extensions for the right candidate) Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Landscaper to join our team in maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces.
This role involves physical outdoor work, often in teams, using hand tools and powered equipment. The ideal candidates thrive in all weather conditions and take pride in transforming properties and maintaining spaces with ability to maintain company standards.
Key Responsibilities Lawn and Grounds Maintenance :
Mow, edge, trim, rake, aerate, fertilize, and water lawns; remove weeds, debris, and litter to keep areas clean and presentable.
Planting and Installation :
Plant trees, shrubs, perennials, flowers, and sod; install mulch, decorative rock, and edging.
Pruning and Care :
Prune trees and shrubs; monitor plant health, apply treatments as needed, and maintain flower beds and gardens.
Equipment Operation :
Operate mowers (walk-behind and riding), trimmers, blowers, skid steers, mini-loaders, and other tools/vehicles safely.
Off Season Work :
Assist with fall cleanups and winter preparations; perform snow removal, ice control, shoveling, and equipment operating during winter months.
Site Preparation :
Grade, dig, haul materials (mulch, dirt, rock), load/unload trucks, and follow landscape plans.
Safety and Maintenance :
Follow all safety protocols; maintain tools and equipment; clean work sites and vehicles.
Team Collaboration :
Work effectively with crew members; communicate with supervisors and clients as needed. Ability to work independently or with a team is required.
Qualifications and Requirements Experience :
Previous landscaping, groundskeeping, or related outdoor labor experience preferred (2-3 years minimum required)
Physical Abilities :
Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly, perform tasks (bending, kneeling, walking) for extended periods, and work in extreme temperatures (hot, cold, wind).
Skills :
Basic knowledge of plants, turf, and landscaping techniques suitable for North Dakota's climate (e.g., hardy native species, prairie restoration elements). Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred.
Certifications :
Only applicable if applying chemicals/fertilizers.
Other :
18+ years old; reliable transportation to job sites; ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on weather and demand. Must have a working cell phone. Pre-employment drug screening; background check will apply. Preferred Skills Knowledge of North Dakota-specific landscaping (e.g., native plants, soil conditions, winter hardiness). Ability to work independently. Experience with heavy equipment (skid steers, loaders) or snow removal. Customer service mindset for client-facing work. What We Offer Competitive hourly pay ($20
