Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Landscape Laborer and play a vital role in creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. This energetic position involves performing a variety of groundskeeping, landscaping, and maintenance tasks to ensure landscapes are healthy, safe, and visually appealing. You will work outdoors in all weather conditions, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills to support landscape projects, plant care, irrigation systems, and hardscape installations. Responsibilities Assist with landscape maintenance activities including mowing, trimming, edging, and pruning to keep outdoor areas pristine. Operate groundskeeping equipment such as power tools, lawn mowers, trimmers, and snow plows safely and efficiently. Support planting projects by identifying plants, preparing soil, planting new greenery, and maintaining existing flora. Manage irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or malfunctions and performing routine adjustments to ensure proper watering. Perform hardscape tasks such as installing or repairing pathways, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures. Follow safety protocols diligently during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Conduct general groundskeeping duties including debris removal, fertilization, pest management (including pesticide application), and seasonal clean-up. Requirements Previous outdoor work experience or groundskeeping background preferred; enthusiasm for outdoor environments is essential. Mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment, power tools, irrigation systems, and hand tools required for daily tasks. Ability to identify various plants and understand basic horticulture principles for effective landscape care. Familiarity with pesticide management practices and safety procedures related to chemical use. Strong understanding of landscape maintenance techniques including mowing, lawn care, gardening, tree trimming, and snow plowing when applicable. Excellent adherence to safety protocols to maintain a secure work site at all times. Physical stamina to perform manual labor outdoors in varying weather conditions; ability to lift heavy objects is necessary. Ability and experience with snow plowing/ shoveling is also a plus.
