Responsibilities Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, pruning, edging, and trimming to keep grounds pristine and healthy. Operate groundskeeping and landscaping equipment such as power tools, lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently. Install and repair hardscape features like pathways, patios, retaining walls, and decorative stonework to enhance landscape aesthetics. Manage plant health through proper watering, fertilizing, pest control (including pesticide management), and plant identification to ensure thriving gardens. Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or malfunctions and adjusting schedules to optimize water usage. Follow safety protocols diligently during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment. Assist with grounds maintenance projects that improve the overall appearance and functionality of outdoor spaces. Experience Proven outdoor work experience in landscaping or groundskeeping is highly preferred. Mechanical knowledge of landscape maintenance equipment and power tools is essential for safe operation and troubleshooting. Familiarity with horticulture principles including plant identification, lawn care practices, and garden management. Knowledge of irrigation systems installation, repair, and management to support healthy plant growth. Experience with hardscape construction or installation is a plus for creating durable outdoor features. Ability to adhere strictly to safety protocols while operating equipment and handling chemicals such as pesticides. Strong attention to detail combined with physical stamina for hands-on outdoor work in various weather conditions.
