Duties Operate grounds maintenance and landscaping equipment such as mowers, power tools, excavators, and irrigation systems to perform routine upkeep and special projects Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, pruning, planting, fertilizing, and weed control to keep outdoor areas vibrant and healthy Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to ensure proper care and pest management practices are followed Install and repair irrigation systems to ensure efficient watering of landscaped areas Perform hardscape construction tasks such as installing pathways, retaining walls, and other outdoor features Maintain safety protocols during all outdoor activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with safety standards Assist with snow plowing and winter maintenance to keep pathways accessible during adverse weather conditions Requirements Proven outdoor work experience with knowledge of grounds maintenance practices Mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment operation and troubleshooting Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques including lawn care, tree trimming, gardening, and pest management Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, irrigation systems, and heavy machinery such as excavators safely and effectively Strong plant identification skills coupled with horticulture knowledge for proper plant care Experience with snow plowing or winter weather maintenance is a plus Construction experience or familiarity with hardscape installation is desirable Commitment to safety protocol adherence and working outdoors in various weather conditions Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to follow instructions precisely This role offers a fantastic opportunity for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in groundskeeping while contributing to beautiful outdoor environments.
