Responsibilities Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, hedge cutters, and other landscaping power tools to maintain lawns, gardens, and hardscape features. Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, planting, and mulching to keep outdoor areas healthy and attractive. Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed. Identify plants and trees to assess health and recommend appropriate care or pest management strategies. Apply pesticides and fertilizers following safety protocols to protect plant health while ensuring environmental safety. Conduct groundskeeping activities such as weed control, debris removal, and soil preparation for planting or hardscape installation. Follow all safety procedures diligently while operating equipment and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of landscaping and groundskeeping equipment operation. Experience with landscape maintenance, gardening, and groundskeeping tasks. Proficiency with hand tools such as pruners, shovels, rakes, and trowels. Ability to identify different plant species and assess their health needs. Knowledge of pesticide management practices with a focus on safety compliance. Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting. Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions with a focus on safety protocol adherence. Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently for lawn care and hardscape projects. Understanding of horticulture principles related to lawn care, gardening, and landscape design.
