Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Landscape Laborer and play a vital role in creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces! This energetic position involves performing a variety of groundskeeping and landscaping tasks to ensure landscapes are healthy, vibrant, and visually appealing. You'll work outdoors in all weather conditions, utilizing your hands-on skills and knowledge of horticulture to support our landscape projects. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise in landscape maintenance while contributing to the enhancement of outdoor environments. Duties Assist with landscape maintenance activities including mowing, trimming, edging, and pruning to keep outdoor spaces tidy and attractive Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, and power tools safely and efficiently Support planting, transplanting, watering, fertilizing, and plant identification to promote healthy growth Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers and drip lines to ensure proper watering schedules Help with hardscape installation and repair projects like patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures Follow safety protocols diligently during all tasks to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment Perform general groundskeeping duties such as debris removal, mulch spreading, and pest management using appropriate pesticide techniques Skills Strong mechanical knowledge for operating landscaping equipment and troubleshooting minor repairs Experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, lawn care, and groundskeeping practices Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and landscape machinery for efficient task completion Ability to identify plants accurately and understand basic horticultural principles Knowledge of pesticide management techniques for safe application when needed Familiarity with irrigation systems installation, repair, and adjustments Outdoor work experience with a focus on safety protocol adherence in all weather conditions Understanding of hardscape features such as pavers or stonework is a plus Excellent physical stamina for lifting heavy materials, digging, bending, and standing for extended periods This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their skills in landscaping while making a tangible impact on outdoor aesthetics.
