Duties Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, power tools, and ground care equipment safely and efficiently to maintain lawns and landscapes. Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, planting, watering, and fertilizing to keep outdoor spaces healthy and attractive. Manage irrigation systems—installing, adjusting, repairing, and troubleshooting to ensure proper watering of plants and turf. Identify various plants, shrubs, trees, and pests to support horticultural health and landscape design. Maintain hardscape features such as pathways, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures for safety and aesthetic appeal. Follow safety protocols diligently during all tasks to prevent accidents or injuries while working with equipment or chemicals. Assist with pesticide management by applying treatments responsibly and according to safety standards when necessary. Requirements Proven outdoor work experience with grounds maintenance or landscaping preferred. Mechanical knowledge of landscape equipment operation and basic repairs. Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices including mowing, gardening, planting, and hardscape upkeep. Ability to operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, as well as power tools safely. Knowledge of plant identification and horticulture principles to support healthy landscape growth. Experience with irrigation systems installation or repair is a plus. Strong adherence to safety protocols during all outdoor activities.
