Hemlock Landscapes is looking for a dependable, experienced Maintenance (Fall Cleanup) & Snow Crew Member to join our team. This is a full-time, year-round position that begins with fall landscape cleanup and snow operations before transitioning into a permanent role on our Bed Maintenance team. The right person is someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in quality work, has experience operating snowplows, and is looking for a stable year-round position in the landscape industry. During the fall and winter, you will help prepare properties for winter, perform fall cleanup, and operate snow equipment during snow events. Once the snow season ends, you will transition into our permanent Bed Maintenance operations, performing high-quality residential landscape maintenance throughout the growing season. What You'll Do Fall Landscape Maintenance & Cleanup Perform fall bed maintenance and property cleanups Remove leaves, debris, and seasonal plant material Cut back and maintain perennial beds Perform pruning and general landscape maintenance Prepare residential properties for winter Load, unload, and operate landscape equipment Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites Snow Operations Operate snowplows, trucks, loaders, skid steers, and other snow-removal equipment Plow and clear residential and commercial properties during snow events Perform snow removal and de-icing operations Follow assigned routes and complete properties efficiently and safely Work extended and irregular hours during snow events, including overnight, early morning, weekend, and holiday work when necessary Monitor properties and return as needed throughout a snow event Perform routine inspections and basic care of snow equipment Communicate equipment issues, property concerns, and route completion to supervisors Previous hands-on snow-plowing experience is required. Bed Maintenance - Permanent Year-Round Role Following the snow season, you will transition into a permanent Bed Maintenance position, including: Weeding and maintaining landscape beds Mulching Pruning shrubs and ornamental plants Planting and seasonal color installation Edging and defining landscape beds Perennial and ornamental grass maintenance General landscape cleanup Leaf cleanup and seasonal property maintenance Operating hand tools and landscape equipment Maintaining high-quality residential landscapes Following work orders, production standards, and daily schedules Safety & Equipment Follow all company safety policies and procedures Wear required PPE and use equipment safely Inspect equipment and jobsites for hazards Properly operate and care for company vehicles, trucks, trailers, plows, and landscape equipment Perform routine equipment maintenance and report issues promptly Keep vehicles, equipment, and work areas clean and organized Teamwork & Customer Service Work collaboratively with crew members, crew leaders, and supervisors Communicate professionally with customers and team members Address customer questions or concerns appropriately and notify supervisors when needed Take pride in the appearance and quality of completed work Participate in company meetings, training, and safety programs Qualifications Required Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Previous experience operating a snowplow is required Experience driving or operating trucks or other snow-removal equipment Ability to work extended and irregular hours during snow events Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 80 lbs. Reliable transportation to and from work Dependable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to safely operate landscape and snow-removal equipment Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work Preferred Previous residential landscape maintenance experience Experience with bed maintenance, pruning, mulching, or plant care Experience operating skid steers, loaders, or other heavy equipment Previous experience working on a snow route Knowledge of Northeast Ohio landscapes and seasonal maintenance Landscape or horticulture experience

$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
