Groundskeeper Location:
Columbia Woodlands Resort - Dover, OH Position Summary Columbia Woodlands is seeking a dependable and hardworking Groundskeeper to help maintain the beauty, cleanliness, and safety of our resort property. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in creating a welcoming environment, and is comfortable operating landscaping equipment. The Groundskeeper plays an important role in ensuring guests have an exceptional experience by keeping the grounds well-maintained year-round. Responsibilities Mow, edge, trim, and maintain lawns throughout the property. Plant, water, weed, mulch, and maintain flower beds, shrubs, and landscaping. Trim trees, hedges, and bushes to maintain a clean appearance. Remove leaves, branches, litter, and other debris from walkways, parking lots, and common areas. Assist with seasonal landscaping projects and property improvements. Perform seasonal duties including snow removal, salting walkways, and leaf removal as needed. Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, and other power tools. Monitor irrigation systems and report maintenance needs. Assist with setting up and tearing down outdoor spaces for weddings, events, and resort activities. Perform minor exterior maintenance and repairs as assigned. Follow all safety procedures and maintain equipment in good working condition. Report property hazards, maintenance concerns, or safety issues to management. Provide friendly and professional service when interacting with guests and team members. Qualifications Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, or property maintenance experience preferred but not required. Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment and hand tools. Strong work ethic with attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks including bending, kneeling, standing, and walking for extended periods. Valid driver's license preferred. Schedule Full-Time Flexible schedule, including occasional weekends and holidays as needed. Hours may vary based on seasonal property needs.
