Job Description
This position as a watering specialist requires a horticulture degree/experience/training, extensive master gardener knowledge and experience or professional gardening experience. Daily tasks include hand-testing all beds, containers, pots, turf areas and tree wells to identify saturation level and watering needs. Watering administered will be measured by volume and recorded on an electronic team ledger/app. Traits this position requires are as follows: A passion for plants, trees and ecosystems, attention to detail, process-focused task performance, professional conduct, arriving focused and ready to work, being present while working in the gardens, carrying out assigned tasks consistently, arriving on time, maintaining accountability, open to feedback and learning, strong communication skills, willingness to be part of and work in a team environment, ability to extend a welcoming and inviting attitude to anyone who approaches the gardens.
