Greenskeeper - Turf Care Department Willamette Valley Country Club is seeking motivated, dependable individuals to join our Turf Care Department as a Greenskeeper. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and wants to be part of a team dedicated to maintaining a beautiful, high-quality golf course. We are primarily seeking full-time employees interested in working approximately 40 hours per week, year-round. We are also accepting applications from part-time candidates who are available to work Saturday or Sunday mornings. Position Greenskeeper Reports To Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent Position Purpose The Greenskeeper is responsible for assisting with the daily care and maintenance of the golf course, surrounding grounds, and landscaping. Duties include mowing and maintaining various turf and landscaped areas, operating turf and landscape equipment, and performing general golf course maintenance and improvement projects. The ideal candidate is reliable, hardworking, safety-conscious, and willing to learn . Previous golf course or turf care experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. General Duties & Responsibilities Care for, maintain, and assist with the repair of golf course grounds, landscaping, and equipment. Safely and responsibly operate a variety of golf course and landscape equipment. Operate equipment and perform maintenance tasks as directed by the Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent. Assist with golf course restoration and improvement projects, including sodding, sanding, seeding, topdressing, edging, bunker maintenance, and cart path work. Trim and maintain trees, shrubs, and landscaped areas. Perform daily golf course setup and maintenance duties, including moving tee markers, picking up debris and trash, and repairing ball marks. Follow oral and written instructions and communicate questions, concerns, or maintenance issues to a supervisor. Work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with or without direct supervision. Maintain a professional, friendly, and courteous attitude when interacting with golfers, members, guests, and fellow employees. Maintain a clean, well-groomed, and professional appearance. Develop and maintain a working knowledge of golf course maintenance practices, turf care, and equipment operation. Perform other duties as needed to maintain the golf course and grounds to a high standard.

Experience / Education

/ Certification Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Valid driver's license required. Previous experience in golf course maintenance, landscaping, turf care, agriculture, or a related field is preferred but not required. Must have a willingness to learn and a positive, team-oriented attitude. Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to: Lift up to 50 pounds to waist height. Frequently bend, turn, kneel, stoop, and perform other physical tasks. Stand and work for extended periods. Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures. Safely operate gas-powered and other turf maintenance equipment. Meet normal vision and hearing requirements necessary to safely perform job duties.
