Jake's Tree Service Job Description CDL Groundsman Position Summary:

We are seeking a dependable CDL Groundsman to join our tree care team. This position supports tree crews by performing ground operations, operating equipment, maintaining a safe work environment, and transporting crews and equipment to job sites. The ideal candidate has a valid CDL, enjoys working outdoors, and is committed to safety and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist tree crews with ground operations during tree trimming and removal projects. Operate and maintain chippers, chainsaws, and other equipment safely. Drive and maneuver CDL-required vehicles and equipment to and from job sites. Load, unload, and transport tools, materials, and debris. Direct traffic and establish safe work zones as needed. Perform daily vehicle and equipment inspections. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow all company safety policies and industry standards.

Qualifications:

Valid CDL (Class A or B preferred). Clean driving record and ability to meet DOT requirements. Experience in tree care, landscaping, construction, or outdoor labor is preferred. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work. Strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork skills. Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
