Job Description

Full-Time Street Department Worker Mount Pleasant Borough is seeking a dependable, hardworking individual to join our Street Department/Public Works Team . This is a full-time municipal position offering competitive pay, excellent benefits, and a Pennsylvania municipal pension. $21.00 per hour Full benefits package Pennsylvania municipal pension Paid holidays Paid vacation and sick leave Paid training and professional development Stable, year-round employment Union Job Responsibilities The successful candidate will assist with a variety of public works and street department duties, including: Street and roadway maintenance Snow and ice removal Park and grounds maintenance Mowing and landscaping of Borough properties Operation of Borough trucks and equipment General maintenance of municipal buildings, parks, and public facilities Other duties as assigned Qualifications Applicants must: Be 21 years of age or older Possess a valid Pennsylvania driver's license CDL preferred (or ability to obtain one) Be able to lift 50 pounds Be able to safely operate equipment such as: Zero-turn mower Skid steer Mini excavator Be dependable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team Previous experience in public works, construction, landscaping, equipment operation, road maintenance, excavation, or municipal maintenance is preferred but not required. Responsibilities include maintaining Borough streets, parks, public property, and equipment while working as part of a dedicated public works team.
