Staff Full Time Job Description The Groundskeeper shall maintain grounds, walks, parking areas, lawns, shrubbery, trees, etc., in order to keep university properties in a neat and presentable condition. Required Qualifications one to two years experience in nursery and landscaping. Preferred Qualifications ability to lift 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, or greater than; ability to use up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects, exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally

Job Duties promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students, and to the community at large promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff and students; participate on University committees maintain facility grounds pick up trash, sweep sidewalks and curbs, rake leaves off grounds and parking lots; plant flowers and trees, lay down mulch seed and reseed lawn areas; weed, trim hedges, apply fertilizers, etc remove dead trees, limbs and stones from lawn. mow lawn, operate small tractor and grounds equipment, keep equipment clean and operable; make repairs and adjustments to such equipment as mowers, sprinklers, leaf blowers, string trimmers, chain saws and hedge shears •make repairs to outdoor chairs and benches; maintain and clean signs keep trash cans empty and clean; may move furniture in facilities may haul linen and trash may sweep floors and work trash carts as needed; assist with snow removal complete required institutional and program accreditation reports and other reports necessary for the operation and advancement of the University •perform other duties as necessary HigherEd360 is part of the HigherEdJobs network.
