STARTING PAY
$15.00/HR. SUMMARY Under general supervision, this position is responsible for performing a variety of semi-skilled and manual labor tasks in the maintenance of a golf course; must have the ability to operate specified mowing equipment and be willing to perform menial tasks. This position will be required to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as well as overtime as needed by the department. This position will be required to work during inclement weather and is considered weather essential personnel.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Mows greens, fairways, tees, fringes and roughs Services ball washers. Changes cups on greens. Cleans restrooms. Performs touch-up painting as needed. Picks up trash. Trims trees. Plants grass. Mows various areas of the greens with push mower. Water trees. Spot watering golf course (hand & radio). Spreads fertilizer. Rakes & details bunkers. Prepping & laying sod. Weed eating. Edging. Brush clean-up. Assist in course improvement projects. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Requires a High School Diploma or its equivalent and a minimum of two years of related experience. Valid Texas Driver's License required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Ability to operate and repair small/light equipment, such as power and hand tools, shovels, mops, wrenches and brooms. Ability to operate and repair medium equipment and machinery, such as tools a pick-up, tractor, hydraulic mowing equipment such as greensmower, fringe and tee mowers, fairway units, etc. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
