PRIMARY PURPOSE

Responsible for helping with the daily opera�ons moving furniture, appliances, tablechair setups, and various

GCCISD work orders throughout the district. Complete addi�onal grounds work orders as directed by the

Supervisor. Perform rou�ne cleaning and maintenance procedures to maintain a high standard safety,

cleanliness, and efficiency box trucks, building opera�ons and grounds at district facili�es.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATIONCERTIFICATION

High School diploma or GED equivalent

Valid Texas Class C Driver License and be insurable

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGESKILLSREQUIREMENTS

Exhibit Leadership Skills

Strong work ethic, punctuality, and teamwork skills

Drive district vehicle to and from district campusesfacili�es safely

Operate district box truck and li� gate

Transport and operate li�s, pallet jack and moving equipment

Ability to become Forkli� cer�fied

Ability to work extended hours andor weekends as needed

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English language

Effec�ve oral, writen, and technological communica�on skills

Bilingual preferred

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

. Report to work on assigned workdays and adhere to designated schedules.

. Perform tasks and assigned du�es in a �mely manner.

. Communicate professionally with campusfacility personnel regarding work orders and their needs.

. Work with other grounds and district employees toward accomplishing department goals.

. Perform maintenance on assigned vehicles, tools, and equipment to ensure con�nued serviceability.

. Step into Lead Mover role when Lead Mover is unavailable.

. Secure furniture and moving equipment using blankets, �e-downs, and other appropriate strapping devices.

. Ability to li� + lbs. repeatedly.

. Ability to log in to eWorks to check, update, and close work orders.

. Flexibility to adjust to changing schedules in order to meet workload demands.

. Ability to assist in comple�ng department projects.

. Ability to handle conflict with district minded resolu�ons.

. Demonstrate strong communica�on and public rela�ons skills while maintaining a friendly and professional

demeanor with co-workers, students, staff, and visitors.

. Maintain all equipment used in a clean condi�on.

. Pick up liter and debris in immediate vicinity work areasbuildings.

Assist in security, by checking and locking vehicles and building doors.

. Report maintenancesafety problems to the lead mover.

. Ensure safe loading and unloading prac�ces while consistently exercising proper li�ing procedures during all

job du�es.

. Perform other du�es as assigned.

EQUIPMENT USED

Furniturechairtable Dollies, pallet jacks, Box Truck with gate li�, ladders, ratchet �e downs, hand tools, box cuter,

scissor and forkli�s, power tools, scaffold, motor vehicle, trailers, and other district equipment.
