This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors, applying your technical skills and horticultural knowledge to create beautiful, sustainable landscapes. You'll be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining irrigation systems, performing landscape upkeep, and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Duties Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain irrigation systems to ensure optimal water distribution across landscapes. Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, pruning, planting, fertilizing, and weed control to keep outdoor areas vibrant and healthy. Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as power tools, lawn mowers, trimmers, and snow plows with precision and safety awareness. Conduct plant identification to assess health needs and recommend appropriate horticultural practices. Manage pesticide application following strict safety protocols to protect plants and surrounding environments. Maintain hardscape features like pathways, patios, and retaining walls to ensure durability and aesthetic appeal. Adhere to all safety procedures during outdoor work activities to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot irrigation components and landscaping equipment. Hands-on experience with landscape maintenance, gardening, lawn care, and tree care techniques. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and grounds equipment safely and effectively. Knowledge of plant identification, horticulture principles, and pest management practices. Experience operating irrigation systems and understanding their design for efficient water use. Ability to follow detailed safety protocols during outdoor work activities including snow plowing in winter months. Excellent outdoor work experience with a focus on grounds maintenance and landscaping operations.
