What we are looking for:
The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance and cleanliness of the community. This hands-on role supports day-to-day property operations through landscaping, light maintenance, custodial work, inspections, and assistance with make-readies and work orders as needed. The ideal candidate is dependable and comfortable performing physical work in varying weather conditions while contributing to a welcoming, well-maintained environment for residents and visitors.
Responsibilities will include:
Light handy man tasks (painting, interior and exterior upkeep, etc.) Perform landscaping cleanup, watering, weeding, mowing, trimming, and fertilizing Maintaining cleanliness of property by doing custodial work of common areas - sweeping, mopping, and trash removal Assisting with make readies (cleaning out homes and ensuring they are ready for the next resident to move in) (if applicable) Ensuring the appearance of the property is safe, neat, and welcoming Report Bulk trash items to management for tenant charges and assist with bulk trash removal Daily and weekly inspection of all common areas, homes, home-sites, and premises Assisting in enforcing community rules, maintaining community safety, and responding to emergencies as needed Following company safety standards Participate in work orders provided by management as needed Pool cleaning and light maintenance (if applicable) Shovel snow and operate snowplow in common areas as needed (if applicable) Other tasks as needed or assigned by management Requirements and expectations: A valid driver's license is required Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred At least 1 year of experience in groundskeeping or landscaping Zero turn mower experience required Ability to work in all types of weather conditions A significant amount of physical activity (walking, climbing stairs or ladders, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, crawling, reaching above shoulder height, grasping, gripping, turning, or lifting) is required daily Comfortability and agility to crawl under homes and on top of roofs as needed Able to lift up to 70 pounds frequently
