Job Description

At present, we're looking for someone willing to do one day per week each week approximately 4-5 hours per day, with some variability based on seasonal needs and weather conditions. Come work outside in a beautiful environment! The Club at Glenmore is a private country club with golf, swimming and racquet sports facilities about five miles east of Charlottesville on 250. We are looking for a part-time groundskeeper for this season (now until approximately 11/15), and successful candidates are welcome to return next season. There is also the possibility for year-round work for the right candidate. The Groundskeeper plays a key role in maintaining the outdoor appearance of the club and some of the common tasks include but are not limited to: Pruning shrubs, trimming bushes, establishing new plantings. Watering and fertilizing. Mulching and weeding. Mowing and weed-whacking. Using and maintaining common landscaping equipment such as mowers, clippers, and blowers. Light tennis court maintenance such as sweeping and lining clay courts, installing and removing wind screens. Light facilities maintenance such as emptying trash and touching up paint. Other duties as assigned. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and be comfortable with extended periods working outside. Pay is $18-20 per hour depending on experience.
