Overview Join our dynamic outdoor maintenance team as a Snow Removal & Salting Team Member, where your efforts directly contribute to safe and accessible environments during winter months. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently clearing snow and ice from various surfaces, applying salt or de-icing agents, and ensuring pathways, parking lots, and walkways are safe for employees, clients, and visitors. Responsibilities Operate snow removal equipment such as plows, shovels, blowers, and salt spreaders to clear snow and ice from designated areas Apply salt or de-icing materials accurately to prevent ice formation and ensure safety Conduct regular inspections of outdoor surfaces to identify hazardous conditions and address them promptly Maintain equipment by performing routine checks and basic maintenance tasks using hand tools and power tools Follow established safety protocols during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents or injuries Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, planting identification, and general groundskeeping when needed Collaborate with team members to prioritize routes and ensure timely completion of snow removal operations Skills Mechanical knowledge to operate and troubleshoot snow removal and groundskeeping equipment Experience with outdoor work environments, including landscaping, gardening, tree trimming, and hardscape maintenance Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices such as irrigation system management and pesticide application Ability to identify various plants and understand horticultural principles for grounds upkeep Knowledge of safety protocols related to outdoor work, power tools, hand tools, and equipment operation Strong attention to detail in grounds maintenance tasks including mowing, pruning, and landscape repairs Effective communication skills for team coordination and safety reporting This role is perfect for individuals passionate about outdoor work who want to make a tangible difference in community safety during winter months.
