Job Description

PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT GROUNDS & FACILITIES MAINTENANCE
Our Village currently has an open position in our Public Works Department as a Grounds and Facilities Maintenance worker to join our small but busy municipality at the Village of New Auburn. We offer flexibility, a 4-day work week and a competitive hourly wage depending on qualifications. We prefer previous municipal experience; however, we are willing to train the right individual. The position involves maintenance of our municipal facilities and vehicles, snow plowing & maintaining village streets, mowing, operating a payloader, tractor, snowplow truck and other tools and equipment such as drills, shovels and more. Position is required to serve as a backup and in rotation with the Water/Wastewater Operator in an on-call rotation so having water and wastewater certification is a plus but willing to send the right individual for training. The individual must be self-motived, have a good work ethic, able to work with the general public, be dependable, have a CDL-Class B, and be able to comprehend and use a computer to submit pavement ratings or other various reports to the WI-DOT or WI DNR.
