Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Landscape and Maintenance Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces through skilled landscaping, groundskeeping, and equipment operation. Your expertise in horticulture, landscape maintenance, and safety protocols will ensure that our properties remain vibrant, safe, and visually appealing. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, apply your technical skills, and contribute to the beauty of our environment. Duties Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, pruning, planting, and weeding to keep outdoor areas healthy and attractive Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as lawn mowers, power tools, excavators, and tree trimming machinery safely and efficiently Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed Apply pesticides and fertilizers responsibly following safety protocols to protect plants and the environment Conduct hardscape installations like pathways, patios, or retaining walls to enhance landscape aesthetics Maintain safety standards by adhering to all safety protocols during outdoor work and equipment operation Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to ensure proper care and maintenance practices are followed Experience Proven outdoor work experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or related fields with a strong understanding of horticulture principles Mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment, power tools, irrigation systems, and construction machinery such as excavators Familiarity with plant identification, pest management (pesticide application), and tree care techniques including trimming and pruning Ability to operate grounds maintenance vehicles like lawn mowers, snow plows, and other landscaping machinery safely Experience working with hardscape features such as pathways or retaining walls is a plus Knowledge of safety protocols related to outdoor work environments and equipment use is essential Prior construction or landscaping experience is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is valued Join us in creating beautiful outdoor spaces while enjoying a supportive environment that values your skills.
