Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and versatile HVAC Tech / Handyman / Lawn Care Tech to join our dynamic team. In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) systems, as well as handling general property maintenance and lawn care tasks. Your expertise will ensure our facilities operate smoothly, efficiently, and safely, providing a comfortable environment for all. Responsibilities Perform HVAC system installation, repair, and maintenance using schematics, HVAC design principles, and electrical diagnostics to troubleshoot issues effectively. Conduct equipment troubleshooting on refrigeration units, boilers, air conditioning systems, and building automation systems to identify root causes and implement solutions promptly. Use hand tools and electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical systems and mechanical components within HVAC and plumbing systems. Maintain property by performing lawn care tasks, general repairs, plumbing work, appliance repairs, and other handyman duties to ensure safety and functionality. Follow safety protocols including EPA regulations for refrigerants and ammonia refrigeration systems while handling equipment repair or system servicing. Communicate clearly with clients or property managers to explain repairs or maintenance needs while delivering exceptional customer service. Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and inspections conducted to ensure compliance and facilitate future maintenance. Qualifications Proven experience in construction, service technician roles, or property maintenance with a strong mechanical background. Knowledge of HVAC systems including installation, repair, maintenance, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boiler operation, and building automation systems. Ability to read schematics and HVAC design documents accurately; familiarity with electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting is essential. Experience working with plumbing fixtures, electrical systems, mechanical systems repair, and appliance repair is highly desirable. Proficiency with hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment required for equipment troubleshooting. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating driver vehicles preferred. EPA certification or equivalent for refrigerant handling; knowledge of OSHA safety standards is a plus. Strong customer service skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in field service environments.
