Perform landscape maintenance tasks including planting, pruning, trimming trees, and shrubbery to promote healthy growth and visual appeal. Manage irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to ensure proper watering schedules. Identify various plants, trees, and pests to support effective horticulture practices and pest management strategies. Conduct groundskeeping duties such as edging, mulching, hardscape maintenance, and snow plowing during appropriate seasons. Follow safety protocols diligently while handling pesticides, herbicides, and operating heavy machinery or power tools. Assist with landscape design projects or hardscape installations to improve property aesthetics and functionality. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and maintaining landscaping equipment. Extensive outdoor work experience with grounds maintenance and landscaping tasks. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and groundskeeping equipment safely and effectively. Knowledge of plant identification, horticulture principles, and pesticide management techniques. Ability to operate irrigation systems and troubleshoot related issues confidently. Experience in tree care including trimming, pruning, and health assessment. Familiarity with safety protocols related to outdoor work environments and equipment operation.
