Job Description

KENNEL TECHNICIAN
Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is currently seeking a self-reliant, positive, team player to be a kennel technician. We are hiring for one Full time position. Candidates must possess a strong work ethic, good attention to detail, be highly motivated, and be able to lift 50+ lbs on a daily basis. If you are interested in this position, please respond via indeed OR drop by the shelter and complete an Employment Application. Must be comfortable working with both dogs, and cats, cleaning cages, litter pans, etc. and able to lift 50lbs. Weekend work is required. All employees must work one weekend day. All shifts start at 8am. Candidates must have reliable transportation to and from work. Some holiday work is required and is typically a short 4 hour shift if so. Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising. Maintain cleanliness and organization of shelter facilities. Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff and management. Assist with animal restraint during examinations or treatments. Ensure proper handling and care of animals to promote their well-being. Engage with potential adopters, providing excellent customer service and support. Any other duties as assigned
