Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic groundskeeping team as a Lawn Maintenance Technician and play a vital role in creating and maintaining beautiful, healthy outdoor spaces. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors, utilizing a variety of landscaping and groundskeeping skills to ensure our clients' properties are pristine and inviting. You will be responsible for performing routine lawn care, landscape maintenance, and equipment operation, all while adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards. Responsibilities Operate lawn care equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and power tools to maintain lawns, gardens, and landscaped areas. Perform landscape maintenance tasks including planting, pruning, trimming trees and shrubs, and installing or repairing hardscape features. Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed. Identify various plants, trees, pests, and diseases to maintain healthy landscapes; apply pesticides or fertilizers following safety guidelines. Conduct groundskeeping duties such as snow plowing during winter months, weed control, mulching, and soil preparation. Follow safety protocols diligently while handling equipment and chemicals; report any hazards or maintenance needs promptly. Assist with the installation of new landscaping projects and perform routine inspections to ensure ongoing landscape health. Qualifications Prior outdoor work experience or background in grounds maintenance or landscaping preferred. Mechanical knowledge related to lawn equipment, power tools, irrigation systems, and landscaping machinery. Strong understanding of horticulture practices including plant identification, pruning techniques, and tree care. Ability to operate groundskeeping equipment safely and efficiently; experience with hardscape installation is a plus. Knowledge of pesticide management, lawn care techniques, and grounds maintenance best practices. Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to safety protocol adherence.
