Coordinator - Tool Crib Fox Valley Fire & Safety Co., Inc. - 3.2 Elgin, IL Job Details Full-time $23 - $24 an hour 10 hours ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) matching Employee stock ownership plan Qualifications Record keeping Computer operation Computer skills Full Job Description Tool Crib Attendant Fox Valley Fire & Safety Full time, 6am-2:30pm Fox Valley Fire & Safety is looking for a dependable, organized Tool Crib Attendant to help manage our company tools and equipment and support our field technicians. This position is responsible for keeping the tool crib organized, maintaining accurate inventory records, and managing the daily check-in and check-out of tools and equipment used by our technicians.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage the daily check-in and check-out of company tools and equipment Maintain accurate inventory records using our computer-based system Keep the tool crib clean, organized, and properly stocked Track tools assigned to technicians and help ensure equipment is returned Inspect returned tools for damage or needed maintenance Identify missing, damaged, or low-inventory items and communicate them to management Assist technicians with locating and obtaining the tools and equipment they need Receive and organize new tools, equipment, and supplies Perform periodic inventory counts Help maintain an efficient and organized tool management system
Required Qualifications:
Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory software Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills Dependable and able to work independently Comfortable keeping accurate records and following established procedures Good communication skills and ability to work with technicians and other team members Previous inventory, warehouse, tool crib, parts department, or similar experience is helpful but not required Familiarity with hand tools and power tools is a plus We're looking for someone who takes pride in staying organized and keeping things running smoothly. The right person will be reliable, detail-oriented, comfortable using a computer, and able to communicate well with our technicians and team. This role offers hourly compensation in the range of $23-$24/hr, based on experience. Full benefits are offered with immediate health benefit coverage offered.
