Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and/or Motivated Lawn Care Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in Turf and/or groundskeeping, with experience in pesticide applications and maintenance. This role involves performing pesticide applications for our valued customers to ensure the health and aesthetic appeal of their lawn, including residential and commercial properties. This Lawn Technician, following a training period with our lawn care manager, will eventually work as a one-man crew in a provided company truck with all necessary equipment and PPE provided. Responsibilities Perform routine pesticide lawn applications including but not limited to fertilizing, herbicides, insecticides/grub control, etc. Obtaining a Registered Technician (RT) Indiana Pesticide Applicator License through the Indiana State Chemist. All material to prepare and take any particular Pesticide Applicator test will be provided. Understanding the rates at which each product is applied to turf as well as diluting liquid concentrates properly and safely. Representing yourself and the company well publicly by positive interaction with residential clients as well as having a desire to learn and ask questions if there is any uncertainty. Qualifications Previous experience in lawn care, landscaping, groundskeeping, or farming is preferred. However, hands-on training will be provided. Knowledge and experience of operating a zero-turn machine is preferred as you should be operating one daily. Familiarity with personal protective equipment (PPE) and other related OSHA guidelines. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting 50 or more lbs. and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship. Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members. A valid driver's license will be required for transportation between job sites.
