Routes are tight and territory-based. This is a fast-paced, production-based role focused on applying fertilizer, weed, and pest control treatments—not mowing or landscaping. Technicians work independently, manage their own route, and are responsible for completing a full day of scheduled services in varying weather conditions and changing daily workloads. This role requires physical work, strong time management, and consistent performance during peak season. What You'll Do Complete a full assigned service route each day Apply fertilizer, weed control, and insect control treatments Evaluate turf conditions and make service recommendations Operate a company truck and trailer safely Communicate with customers on-site as needed Complete service documentation and route notes Maintain equipment and follow all safety and application standards Work Environment This is not a landscaping or installation role. Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions and requires consistent physical effort. Peak season (spring) is high-volume and may require long days to complete routes. Technicians are expected to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to real-time issues such as weather changes, routing adjustments, or equipment needs. Daily performance is measured by route completion, service quality, and efficiency. Compensation Starting at $19.00/hour Performance-based increases up to $22.00/hour Overtime available during peak season Commission and production bonuses Typical earnings range: Most first-year technicians: $38,000-$45,000 Top performers: $50,000+ Requirements Valid Michigan driver's license with good driving record Must be dependable with consistent attendance Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Strong reliability and work ethic Ability to work independently and stay on schedule Preferred (Not Required) Lawn care or route service experience MDARD applicator certification (or willingness to obtain) DOT medical card or chauffeur's license
