Position Overview We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Lawn Care Technician to join our team serving properties throughout the Metro Detroit area. This is a hands-on role responsible for delivering high-quality lawn maintenance and property detailing while representing our company with professionalism. The ideal candidate takes immense pride in their work, operates equipment safely and efficiently, and understands that we aren't just mowing grass—we are protecting property values and enhancing curb appeal for our clients.
Key Responsibilities Lawn & Grounds Maintenance:
Mow residential and commercial properties using commercial mowers. Perform precise string trimming, edging, and detailing around all landscape features, hardscapes, and entrances. Clear all hard surfaces of debris upon completion.
Equipment & Daily Operations:
Safely operate and care for commercial mowers, handheld trimmers, blowers, trucks, and trailers. Perform daily pre-shift equipment checks, maintain logs, and ensure trucks and trailers remain clean and organized. Follow assigned daily routes efficiently.
Property Quality & Safety:
Maintain consistent, high-quality results on every property. Strictly adhere to company safety procedures when working around pedestrians, vehicles, pets, and property. Communicate property concerns (turf health, irrigation issues, drainage) directly to management.
Job Site Ownership:
Maintain an organized, safe, and professional work area. Collaborate effectively with crew members, communicate professionally with property owners when necessary, and assist with additional landscape maintenance tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
1+ years of experience in lawn care, landscaping, or grounds maintenance (experienced candidates preferred; additional training provided). Proven ability to safely operate commercial mowing and handheld turf equipment. Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record and reliable transportation. Physical ability to work outdoors in seasonal weather conditions and lift/move equipment up to 75 lbs regularly. Strong attention to detail, dependability, and a pride-in-workmanship mindset.
Preferred:
Background in high-end residential or commercial grounds maintenance. Experience safely driving light-duty trucks with equipment trailers. Basic understanding of turf care, weed identification, and property detailing techniques.
