• Lawn & Snow Technician Position Summary The Lawn & Snow Technician is a year-round, full-time position supporting Lawn & Order's lawn care, bed maintenance, cleanup, snow removal, and other service operations. For the remainder of the current season, the position will focus on fall cleanup, bed maintenance, and miscellaneous projects before transitioning into winter snow removal. During snow season, the employee will primarily perform sidewalk and pedestrian-area snow removal while supporting the snow division as needed. Snow-season hours are variable and dependent on weather and snow events. Hours may fluctuate from week to week based on snowfall, service needs, and return visits required to maintain properties. This position requires flexibility and availability during active snow events, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Following snow season, the employee will transition into the Lawn & Order service division that best aligns with their skills, experience, performance, and the company's operational needs. Potential long-term opportunities may include Lawn Care Crew Member, Lawn Care Crew Lead, or Bed Maintenance Technician. Current Fall Responsibilities For the remainder of the current season, responsibilities will include: Perform fall property cleanups including removal of leaves, debris, dead plant material, and other seasonal buildup. Maintain landscape beds through hand weeding, pruning, deadheading, trimming, edging, and other seasonal maintenance. Remove debris, excess growth, and unwanted vegetation to maintain a clean, professional appearance. Assist with seasonal property preparation and cleanup before winter. Complete miscellaneous property maintenance and cleanup projects as assigned. Assist with one-time services and special projects. Identify property issues, hazards, or additional service needs and report them to management. Assist with mowing, edging, trimming, blowing, and other lawn services as needed. Ensure completed work meets company quality standards and properties are left clean and professional. Snow Removal Responsibilities During snow season, responsibilities will transition primarily to sidewalk and pedestrian-area snow removal, including: Learn and follow all company standards, procedures, and client-specific requirements. Respond promptly and reliably to snow and ice events, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Safely operate authorized snow removal equipment to include ATVs, snow blowers, shovels, hand tools, and other assigned equipment. Clear snow from sidewalks, walkways, building entrances, stairs, fire hydrants, dumpsters, mailboxes, and other designated areas. Apply ice melt or other deicing materials as directed. Perform return visits as required until sidewalks and designated pedestrian areas are fully cleared and safe. Inspect completed work to ensure walking surfaces meet company quality and safety expectations. Maintain strong attention to detail so each property appears clean, professional, and complete. Adapt to changing weather conditions, schedules, and priorities throughout snow events. Assist other snow crews or service areas as directed by management. General Responsibilities Support Lawn & Order service divisions including lawn care, bed maintenance, cleanup, spray, irrigation, and snow as needed. Follow assigned routes, schedules, company procedures, and client-specific requirements. Complete work efficiently and to company quality standards. Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites. Provide courteous, professional service while on client properties. Report hazards, property damage, equipment issues, client concerns, and additional service needs promptly. Complete required job notes, service documentation, photos, and time tracking accurately. Adapt to changing schedules, weather conditions, and shifting priorities. Represent Lawn & Order professionally on job sites, while driving, and while on the clock. Safety & Equipment Safely operate company vehicles, trailers, mowers, trimmers, blowers, snow blowers, ATVs, and other assigned equipment when trained and authorized. Use required PPE and follow all company safety procedures. Complete required equipment inspections and maintain equipment in clean, safe working condition. Refuel equipment and perform basic maintenance when trained and directed. Keep trucks, trailers, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and secured. Maintain awareness of pedestrians, vehicles, structures, landscaping, and other hazards. Report accidents, near-misses, injuries, property damage, and safety concerns promptly. Teamwork & Communication Work cooperatively with crew members and supervisors to meet daily schedules and company standards. Participate in required meetings, huddles, and training. Communicate clearly regarding job progress, site conditions, schedule changes, and concerns. Follow direction from Crew Leaders, Route Managers, and Operations Managers. Maintain a positive, safety-focused, team-first attitude. Assist and support other crew members and service divisions as needed. As experience develops, help newer employees learn proper work techniques, equipment operation, and company standards. Qualifications Previous lawn care, bed maintenance, snow removal, fall cleanup, or outdoor labor experience preferred but not required; training provided. Experience operating outdoor power equipment, ATVs, snow blowers, mowers, or similar equipment preferred but not required; training provided. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality. Dependable, punctual, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Willingness to learn multiple Lawn & Order service divisions and perform varied tasks throughout the year. Ability to work flexible, on-call hours during snow season, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs or more. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Must be 21 years or older to operate company vehicles and tow trailers. Strong interest in year-round, long-term employment with Lawn & Order. Employment Progression This position is designed as a year-round opportunity with Lawn & Order. Fall 2026: Fall cleanup, bed maintenance, miscellaneous projects, and other service support. Winter 2026-27: Primary focus on sidewalk snow removal and snow division operations. Spring 2027 and beyond: Transition into an ongoing Lawn & Order position based on the employee's skills, performance, interests, and company needs. Potential paths include Lawn Care Crew Member, Lawn Care Crew Lead, Bed Maintenance Technician, or other service opportunities.

Pay:

$25.00 - $34.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 50.0 per week
