Job Description

The Big Cats at Ocean Ridge Plantation Golf has an opening for a full-time spray technician who has certification in Pesticide Application or the ability to work toward acquiring a North Carolina Pesticide Applicator's License. Primary function will be spraying greens, fairways, tees and roughs on all four courses and assisting with the maintenance of many ponds on the property. Will assist with the maintenance of the four golf courses, practice areas and clubhouse facilities. Recordkeeping is an important part of this position. Will be responsible for reading, understanding and keeping current with chemical labels and MSDS and for compiling reports of pesticide usage for the head superintendents. A minimum of two years' experience as a spray technician or second assistant superintendent at a golf facility required. Two-year degree preferred but not required. Willing to work with student in a turf management program. This is a full-time position eligible for benefits including health insurance and paid time off. Includes golf privileges for employee and spouse. No relocation package available so only local candidates should apply.
