Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lawn Maintenance Technician to join our outdoor maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining beautiful, healthy landscapes by performing a variety of groundskeeping tasks. Your expertise will ensure that lawns, gardens, and hardscape features are kept in pristine condition, creating welcoming outdoor environments for clients and communities alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, utilize a range of landscaping tools and equipment, and contribute to the aesthetic appeal of our clients' properties. Duties Mow lawns and trim grass using power mowers, string trimmers, and other landscaping equipment to achieve precise cuts and healthy growth. Perform landscape maintenance tasks including edging, pruning, planting, fertilizing, and mulching to enhance landscape appearance. Operate grounds maintenance machinery such as excavators, skid steers, and irrigation systems to support various landscaping projects. Identify plants, trees, weeds, pests, and diseases to ensure proper plant health management and pest control measures. Install and repair irrigation systems to maintain optimal watering schedules and promote healthy plant growth. Apply pesticides and fertilizers following safety protocols to protect plants while ensuring environmental safety. Maintain safety standards by adhering to all safety protocols during equipment operation and outdoor work activities. Requirements Proven outdoor work experience with grounds maintenance or landscaping preferred. Mechanical knowledge of landscaping tools, power tools, hand tools, and grounds equipment operation. Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices including mowing, pruning, planting, and hardscape installation. Ability to identify various plants, pests, weeds, and diseases affecting landscapes. Experience with irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting is a plus. Familiarity with pesticide management procedures following safety guidelines. Strong understanding of horticulture principles related to lawn care and plant health. Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators or snow plows when needed for seasonal tasks. Commitment to safety protocol adherence during all outdoor activities. Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
